Driving Directions to Long Beach Island, NJ
From Atlantic City
Exit Atlantic City via the Atlantic City Expressway.
Take the GARDEN STATE PARKWAY North. This is a Toll Road.
Leave the Parkway at exit number 63 (NJ Rt. 72 East).
Stay on 72 East, it will take you right onto the island.
Alternate Route from Atlantic City, New Jersey
You can take Rt. 30 to Rt. 9 North.
Exit Rt. 9 at 72 East.
Public Transportation from Atlantic City, New Jersey
Bus Route 559 to Manahawkin
Taxi to LBI
From the North
The trick is to get to either US Route 9 or the Garden State Parkway.
Depending on your location, you might use I-8 or I-78 or the Cross Bronx Expressway to get to I-95 or US Route 1. The Trans-Manhattan Expressway includes these routes.
Travel South on I-95 or US Route 1 until you reach the intersection with US Route 9 or the Garden State Parkway.
If traveling the Garden State Parkway, use Exit 63. On US 9, look for the Manahawkin exit. NJ Route 72 East will take you right to LBI.
From the South
Take I – 95 North to Philadelphia.
Cross the Benjamin Franklin Bridge into New Jersey and follow the signs to Cherry Hill (Route 38) and the beaches (mainly you’ll be staying on the left).
Once you’ve made the left onto the ramp that enters Route 38, you’ll have to quickly get all the way to the right onto Route 70.
Take 70 until you reach the junction for Route 72 East (It’s a circle, but you don’t have to go around, stay to the right).
Follow 72 for 26 miles right onto the island.

#161. Look No Further
This home provided the best vacation my family has had in years. It was perfect for a large family because is provided both privacy and plenty of spaces to be together. "Third from the beach" is accurate. It is only a few steps from the sand. Close enough to easily return to house to use the restroom. I highly recommend!
#56. Loved this rental!
I spent a week at this rental for a week in June with 11 family members, with an additional 4-6 for meals. It easily accommodated us. The extra-large table allowed us all to sit together for meals which was a bonus! The kitchen was very well equipped and the oven easily handled cooking for a large crowd.
The bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The place was very clean and nicely decorated in beach décor. I especially liked the photos of sunrises and sunsets taken by the owner. I especially liked how close it is to beach, making it easier to take kids back to use the bathroom. The owners were friendly and had suggestions for things to do and where to go. They even had a large binder with information about the island and what to do. I highly recommend this house if you have a large group. We look forward to returning next year.

#55. Prefect House!
Beach House Retreats is the perfect house if one is looking for a rental with a large capacity, that's close to the beach, and is available to attractions. It was spotless, and the decorating was adorable (plus a hot tub). It has a great kitchen and congregating space for large gatherings. It's two houses from the beach, allowing easy and frequent trips. This house is also within walking distance to many ice cream shops, a downtown, and grocery stores. I definitely recommend if one is looking for a large rental for either family gatherings or a business retreat.

Loved taking a break with my family at this lovely clean beach house. Enjoyed it being so close to the beach and all the amenities in the kitchen: ice maker generous refrigerator, two ovens , large assortment of cooking wares. Several bathrooms and outdoor shower was convenient. Would highly recommend to large families.

#53. Our 30th B-day / LBI Reunion
The reviews are accurate, this house was one of the best setups my group has rented over the years. We did a "Dirty-30 beach week" with a lot of friends coming and going throughout the week. If you like to cook large meals, walk to the beach in 30 seconds, and watch sunsets from a roof deck hot tub..then this is the house for you! Mary Ann and Tom are very accommodating hosts who are only there if you need them, plus they don't mind a little noise.

My family, all 22 of us, enjoyed our stay here. The owners could not have been nicer. They provided us with names and addresses of places to go for take out food, general shopping , etc. The house was only s few steps from the beach. It was clean and comfortable. It had games for children; and cd's for the televisions. The bedrooms were also comfortable. I would do it again. Thanks to Mary Ann and Tom.

#49. Home away from home - Multi-generational Rental
Year after year I am pleasantly surprised to the personal upgrades this rental offers. You get a sense they not only read their reviews but positively react to them. This rental has every detail for comfort and relaxation covered. There were 16 people in our family gathering and there was plenty of room to never feel crowed. The spacious eating areas inside and out made feeding a large group seamless. I would highly recommend this location for being close to the beach and having all the amenities you can think of.

We had a wonderful time, your home is lovely. The only thing we missed was a deck on the first floor. Your house had everything you could want! A great grill, a well stocked kitchen, plenty of parking. The rooftop deck is beautiful but not good for small children.Being so close to the ocean is great!

This beach house was the perfect place for our family reunion. The house had a perfect layout with a very large dinning table for us all to sit at one time, large grill and a roof top hot tub. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be back next year. The owners were great to work with !!
